She is also a certified trainer of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). Moreover the remaining three days of the training were allotted to Export Costing and Pricing.

Ms. Ma. Celeste Peralta, who was the resource person on the second day, was the Proprietor at Designlink Asia, Inc. She discussed the Costing Methods, the Factors Affecting the Cost and Cost Calculation and Allocation. To ensure that the participants were able to apply the things discussed by the resource person, the day ended with exercises on various methodologies in conducting costing sessions.

The resource person for the last two days of the training was Mr. Delfin H. Bibat, former Country Manager of Southgate Ltd. Presently, he is one of the Board of Directors of Garment Business Association of the Philippines (GBAP). Mr. Bibat discussed the topics on Pricing Concepts, Pricing Methods & Factors to Consider in Pricing, Pitfalls in Pricing and Costing, Pricing Strategies, Market Driven Pricing, and Channels of Distribution, Pricing Matrix and Benchmarking.

Also, part of the activities of the training was store visits at Balikbayan Handicrafts, Crate and Barrel Store, Forever 21  and other selected shops at SM Makati and SM Mall of Asia so that the participants would see furnishings, wearables and other items with different target markets.

Indeed, the participants were happy that their expectations of practical learning sessions were met exceedingly in lively sessions. The PTTC is hopeful that the participants in this Trainers’ Training will be able to help their respective regional MSMEs especially in preparing their products’ prices for trade fairs.
