MEET THE NEW PTTC DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The PTTC family warmly welcomes Deputy Executive Director, Nestor P. Palabyab who was recently appointed by President Gloria M. Arroyo.
Mr. Palabyab is actually a familiar figure in PTTC being an old hand in the Department of Trade and Industry who actively participated in many past activities organized by the Center.
Prior to this appointment, he held various positions in DTI Offices such as Manager of the ASEAN Desk in the Bureau of Export Trade Promotion, and before that as a senior officer raking up wide experience in trade remedies while in the Bureau of Import Services. He also worked as researcher and economist while in the employ of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas before moving to the DTI.
One of Mr. Palabyab’s biggest accomplishments is his successful leadership and advocacy in developing the sector of Halal certified food products and services for export.
Armed with multifarious management skills and work experience in the DTI, Mr. Palabyab will assuredly contribute to accomplishing PTTC’s mission in developing and strengthening the Filipino entrepreneurs’ skills and competitiveness to meet the challenges of the local and international markets.
